As I am looking for an apartment in Kassel, I went yesterday to check one. Everything seemed to be perfect, until I noticed that in two rooms there was no heating. I asked Gigi, the estate agent:

Yesterday, at my german classes, Gigi had to make a presentation. He decided to present the connections between German and English. At one point he made some similar schema:
The funny part was, that Gigi was the only person in the room, who was a native German or English speaker.
I was watching on through the window, lost with my dreams and worries. A man comes in, asks something, I didn’t pay attention to what he was saying, and disappears in the WC. After a couple of minutes he comes out and starts screaming:
“The train is leaving, the train is leaving! I am missing the ICE to Frankfurt!”
I was in sitting in the train that goes between Kassel and Korbach.
For a couple of days I have offered myself to work as a cashier for a “Viehmarkt”, some sort of a festival. The festival took place in Hofgeismar. All the people who wanted to access the festival market had to pay and an entry fee: 1.50 euro… only to get to the place. Although there was an entry fee, there were about 4 000 visitors. I cannot understand why the people pay 1,50 euro…
Anyway, as I was working, a young man comes:
“Do the students have to pay the entry fee?”
“Yes they do! Everybody who is older than 16 has to pay the entry fee.”
“Don’t mind about it, but you know, I am a poor student and I have to save every time and everywhere I can…”
While he was speaking he fished a cigarette from the pocket and put it in his mouth. A good thing to do if he wants to save money is to stop smoking.
